Who We Are
Colorado was the first state to legalize abortion in 1967. NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado was founded out of that effort and continues to be the leading grassroots pro-choice advocacy organization in Colorado and we firmly believe that every woman should be able to make personal decisions about the full range of reproductive health options. NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado works to protect every woman’s right to access the full range of reproductive health options, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. NARAL Pro-Choice Colorado is the state affiliate of NARAL Pro-Choice America.
What We Do
- Organize our 40,000 members to make sure that our state and local leaders hear from their constituents – the 7 in 10 Americans who support safe and legal abortion.
- Work in partnership with progressive allies to advance legislation to protect and expand reproductive freedom in our state, and to prevent anti-choice and regressive policies from being enacted.
- Endorse lawmakers who will be champions for reproductive freedom, not just pay lip service to our values.
